What are Health Benefits of Almond

Hello friends!!!I welcome you with a new topic which is usual for us but; again we unusually notice it. One of the best  dry fruits with lowest fat or you may say with zero fat. Can you guess what is it? Yes that is crunchy and healthy  Almond. It is said that Almonds are seeds and actually ‘drupe’ So it can not be listed as nut.

            Almond is a big package of body building nutrients. Because Almonds are overloaded with vitamins, Minerals, Fibers and proteins. One handful of Almonds has 1/8th proportion of our daily protein needs. Many a times, Almonds can be a healthy substitute for snacks in such swift and time bound routine and Almond can be enjoyable any time.

Almond As Antioxidants:

            We all know that we are surrounded by environment which tends oxidation in human body that produces free radicals. These free radicals may damage to our cells. For this reason, we need antioxidants.

Almonds are rich source of an antioxidant. Study says that intake of Almonds on daily basis uplift the  level of vitamin E, as vitamin E is strong antioxidant which defends damage of the cells occurs because of polluted environment.

Research says that antioxidants also helps to reduce blood pressure and improve blood flow.

Almonds and IBS:

             If you are diagnosed by IBS( irritable Bowel syndrome), your gut becomes choosy and can not tolerate all the food items which a normal person can. So it’s your duty to provide the food which is digestible for your gut and for that, first you should test which food item is suitable for your gut.

As Almond contains dietary fiber, It is known to get relief from constipation. As I said in my one of the articles that constipation may be the symptom for IBSC.

Helps to manage Cholesterol And Weight:

Though other dry fruits may contain good amount of fat, Almonds are exception for that. Study says that Almonds have zero grams of cholesterol and it also prevents  clogging oxidation of cholesterol in arteries.

Almonds have low carbohydrates and high fiber and protein, It helps people to control hunger or feel fuller for longer period which reduces the number of calorie consumption overall and helps to manage weight.

Blanching or Soaking:

            Blanching the Almond or soaking it in water for several hours make almond easy to remove its skin which may help digestion of Almond easier and can be tolerated with IBS.
