I always try to find something, which helps me to make my gut healthy and happy. When I tried probiotic capsules like vsl#3 and vibact probiotic. both probiotic capsules were very much beneficial for me. a question may come in your mind, that why I chose Yakult probiotic drink.

I find some relief with these 2 probiotics, but honestly saying, it was a little costly for me, the same time I was in a doubt about its regular use, so I stopped the intake of both probiotic capsules. In 3 to 4 days, the same story had started. bloating, diarrhea, and all the troubles I faced because of IBS. again the search began.

One day, watched an ad of probiotic fermented milk drink on tv. I saw the same ad many times and finally, decided to try this probiotic drink.

This time I tried something new. I bought one pack of Yakult. when I went to a shopping mall I thought It would be costly, But when I saw the price on the bottle, I felt good, because It was just 60 rs. for 5 bottles containing 60 ml of each.

Why did I choose Yakult Probiotic Drink

The first time, I saw the Yakult probiotic drink ad on TV. after many days, I decided to get some information about this fermented milk. I Googled and got some information about it. after that, I purchased it, Yakult contains 6.5 billion Lactobacillus casei starin Shirota (LcS), Water, Sugar, Skimmed Milk powder, Glucose, and some NATURAL IDENTICAL FLAVOURS.

Yakult is not just a Probiotic drink, It also has some nutritional values like protein, carbohydrates, and Energy. As per mentioned on Yakult 65 ml bottle, It contains Energy: 50 Kcal, Protein: 0.8g, Carbohydrates: 12g and very low amount of fats. I was curious to know about Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota (LcS), so I googled again and got the following information.

My experience about Yakult

They recommend to drink 2 bottles per day, each bottle contains 65 ml. I am consuming one bottle per day and, didn’t face any problem or discomfort after drinking Yakult. In the first 2-3 days, nothing happened, but after consistent drinking of 1 bottle per day for 10-15 days,

observed positive changes in bowel movement.

It suited me, I observed reduced in frequency of BM, But if I eat high Fodmap food, I had to pay for it

from 2 weeks I am drinking a bottle of 65ml fermented milk every day, and feeling positive changes. Thanks to Yakult and Dr. Minoru Shirota.

Can you drink Yakult with an empty Stomach

Well! I started to take vsl#3 with an empty stomach. when I visited a gastroenterologist, and I asked him, should I consume probiotic with an empty stomach? he said No! you should not consume your dose of VSL#3 with an empty stomach. take it after meal.

It was surprising for me,

because I thought if probiotic means good bacteria, then why shouldn’t I collect it in my gut! why should I take it after a meal?. I googled and got an answer to my question.

as per this expert opinion, It is better to take any probiotic supplement with food and should avoid it with an empty stomach,

because the pH level in the stomach decides the acidity in your stomach. if pH is low, acidity will be more.

if pH is more there is an increase in acidity.

this situation is not beneficial for the survival of good bacteria.

It is a probiotic drink, so it is better to avoid with an empty stomach.

Yakult and yogurt both are same?

First time, when my sister saw yakult, she said it looks like yogurt, though, i felt yakult as tasty as yogurt, I don’t think both are same, because yakult was easy to digest. I didn’t feel heavy stomach after drinking yakult, but when I eat yogurt, It feels little bit heavy. after I went on site of yakult, I confimed that, yakult and yogurt both are not same. Yakult contain different type of cultures while yogurt have different cultures.

So do you like yakult? from how many days you are drinking it? what is your experience about it? I would like to hear.
